What our customer's say!
"Great size, but not real durable", My daughter loves the size because she can fit everything in it, but it won't hold the items for long - not durable enough.
"Somewhat flimsy, but well-designed otherwise...", We ordered this for my son, who started middle school. The school's shopping list called for an extra-large binder to hold notebooks for each of his classes, plus an accordion folder. We could not find any such binder at any of the local stores--including the office supply stores--even at back-to-school time. We sent him to school with two smaller case-it binders, plus a separate accordion folder, and juggling all this proved to be an organizational problem for him.
I finally decided to look online, and lo and behold, there was indeed this 4" binder...and it even had an accordion folder IN it!! WOOHOO!! The design is beautiful, and holds in one case what previously took three. It comes with a briefcase type of handle, as well as a detachable shoulder strap to make carrying it in school a breeze.
My disappointment is that, for $25, we get an accordion folder that is made of a thin film--no doubt this will tear and separate considerably by the end of the school year--and even the outside of the case is somewhat flimsy too. I've bought my son several Case-Its in the past, and they've a fairly consistent history of zipper breakage, or the stitching coming undone at the zipper.
With that said, Case It is about the only brand I've found that makes a binder this big, so they sort of corner the market. If anyone knows of another brand that makes them this large, please do let me know!!!!
"Poor Quality", I purchased this binder a few weeks ago and within days the binding around the binder started to come off exposing the cardboard insides. A couple weeks later the handle fell off. Same thing happened to the one before. I guess Case it can get away with producing poor quality products since they are really the only ones that make a 3" zippered binder that is required for my son to have for school.
"Pleased for the most part", I purchased the zip binder to organize my coupons. For the most part, I am pleased with the purchase. However, by the time I inserted my tab dividers for the different sections of coupons, there is barely enough room to zip closed without the zipper hanging on the tabs that stick out. If you do not plan to use dividers, you shouldn't have any problems. On the up side, I purchased the X large (4" D ring)binder so there is plenty of room for storage inside for my legal pad that I make notes on while shopping, and also a handy mesh zipper pouch to store pens, scissors,etc..... right in reach when needed. There is also a handy 5 tab file folder on the left side to store my sales circulars for the week so I will have them with me when shopping. On the outside front, there is a shallow zippered pouch to keep my keys and checkbook, so I don't have to worry with a purse. The shoulder strap comes in handy if I want to throw it over my shoulder and I then have my hands free to shop. All in all, it was well worth the money. I just wish they had given a little more zipper room on the edge.
"Case It Review", At first, my daughter was very pleased with the color and size of the binder because it was everything she needed for school. Unfortunately, she has only had it a few weeks and I can already see the fabric weakening along the corners. I am pretty disappointed in the quality of the binder. In the picture, it looks more like a canvas type fabric that can withstand rough, daily usage. I can see that I am going to have to search once again for something else within the next month.
