"Completely satisfied" Great multifunction device, easy to setup and easy to use. I don't like that you can only print photos from SDcard, but not docs, and that a USB cable doesn't included. But WiFi works great. The printer is quiet. I also like double side printing option.
"Very Good Printer - MAC OS Compatible" This printer has replaced a Cannon i860, which provided about 6 years of very reliable performance... it isn't done yet though... been given to a young nephew for use with his new notebook. Since I had such good fortune with the previous Cannon product... I didn't look to any other brand to replace it. The MP560 has already proven to be a very good printer. Fine quality output, print and photos. The built in scanning bed saves space (was able to also gift an older stand-alone scanner). The copy feature of not having to have the iMac turned on... is great. Installation was without any problems... very straight forward setup (wireless) Printer recognized my network... I just had to key the network password using the turn-wheel on the control panel to select alpha/numeric values. I installed the Cannon software without a problem too. I previously used and older version of the MP Navigator 1.0, so I was used to the features. Also checked for Mac Software updates after I installed the software and it found all of the necessary updates for this printer... no need to visit the Cannon website for driver updates. All in all... a very good unit for every day use... and for the price... it's amazing how a device with such features and functionality can be provided. My only complaint is that the unit does not shut off by itself... you have to depress the "ON" button to turn it off. This seems a bit odd given all of its sophistication... and especially since the front of the printer has an "Energy Star" label! There's really no reason for the omission of this important energy saving feature. My much older printer turned on and off by itself. What's up with dat Cannon? I still highly recommend this printer. Maybe Cannon will issue a firmware update at some point to resolve power saver issue.
"So easy a cavema....... never mind" Our HP died last week(2nd HP's in three years). I was fed up with worthless software packages, HP pop-ups, "low" ink warnings at 50% (with links to HP websites, etc... Based on reviews here, we bought the HP560 wireless.
Set-up: on a difficulty scale of 1-10 (10 being the msot difficult), I'd give this s 2 1/2. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. Did I mention that you must FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS??? Make sure you know your network's name and security p/w.
We have 5 computers (3 Win-7s, 1 XP desktop and a Vista laptop), all set up to a home network. One of the laptops is a Gateway netbook (no CD drive). The only reason I gave the install process a 2 1/2 was that I had to load the drivers from the Canon website to set the netbook up with the printer. No mention of that step in the installaton process. Also, make sure you set the printer settings on the main computer to share the printer. After that, the set-up's a breeze. It took me about an hour to set up the printer on all 5 machines.
Printing is quiet, quick and colors are vivid. Sanning and copying are a bit slow, but I bought this mainly for the wireless network printing.
This was worth the $85 (especially since Best Buy had it for $100 and Office Depot had it "on sale" for $129).
"Great all in one printer" So far so good. Was reallly easy to set up and learn to use. Makes good copies. Haven't scanned anything yet so don't know about that. A little noisy ( I don't care ). And takes awhile to "think" before it prints but all in all I am happy with it. Looks good too. Much sleeker than my old clunker. One concern - I was fiddling with holder on the lower paper tray and ended up with this little tiny spring! Can't figure out where it came from and hope it doesn't cause problems in the future! Anybody knows - let me know!
"Lots of features, but you have to use the CD Software to use them" First off, I am very happy with this printer. This is my second Canon PIXMA printer, the last one I sold when I moved. I do like the included software, which is a little unusual for me, but the Canon MP Navigator is the best bundled software utility I have ever used. It makes scanning documents and turning them into a PDF a breeze. I would usually do all my scanning directly in Photoshop because using bundled software was always like working in handcuffs. Using MP Navigator however was the opposite. Now I will even scan out of MP Navigator, then open the images in Photoshop to adjust image quality (prebundled software has yet to compete in this arena) then open them again in MP Navigator to make a multipage PDF.
My only gripe about the CD is that when you are installing the printer on your computer, you have to install it from the CD to use all the features. Installing this printer using Windows Control Panel > Printers will not give you the ability to scan wirelessly. This might not seem like a big deal, but say you are going to use a different network than the one which you first set up the printer. To do this you have to use the CD to set up the printer on that wireless network. Nevermind that you already have all the software installed. You still have to use to CD.
That said, I love the auto-duplexing, a feature that more and more basic printers are offering. I also like the paper tray which tucks away neatly at the bottom of the printer, so you don't have paper sticking out anymore. Another thing I really like that seems pretty simple is that the print door opens automatically when you send a document to print. The previous printers I had never did this, so if you forgot to open the print door your document would get all crunched up inside. In all, this printer was totally worth buying.

What our customer's say!
"Don't Buy this item from ACE PHOTO DIGITAL", FIRST: This item is NOT "all-in-one" - it does NOT have a FAX. After purchasing & this printer, and discovering that it didn't have a fax, I went back to the info on the AMAZON website, & could find absolutely no information on it that would alert a buyer to the fact that this "all-in-one" machine didn't have Fax capability. There also was no information on the box that the printer came in that listed the "all-in-one" capabilities of the machine, so it wasn't until I opened it that I found that it did not include a fax. I immediately returned it to the box - without plugging it in or using it in any way, and contacted the seller - Ace Photo Digital.
SECOND: When I explained the situation to them (via email), they decided that they would accept the return, but I would have to pay the shipping charges, and a hefty restocking fee. On 5/5/10 I called Ace Photo Digital & spoke to Nikki - she agreed that, if I paid the shipping charges, Ace Photo Digital would not charge me a restocking fee.
THIRD: I returned the machine to Ace Photo Digital as I had promised, but Ace renigged on their promise and went ahead & charged me the restocking fee.
LAST: Since the merchandise wasn't as advertised (All-in-One), I feel that I shouldn't have had to pay either the shipping fees or the restocking fee, but Ace Photo Digital went ahead and charged me these fees, even after promising not to. Unfortunately, I found out about this just before leaving on an extended cross-country trip, so was not able to "Rate the Seller", so I'm rating the product & warning prospective buyers about the unethical advertising and selling practices of this vendor: ACE PHOTO DIGITAL
"An also ran.", I've owned quite a few printers in my day. This one is definitely forgettable. The sluggishness in creation of a print outcome, and fair colors to pictures printed using normal settings (Vista) make me less likely to purchase again from Canon. Wireless set-up was hopeless and I'm an advanced, not expert, computer user. Most recently I had bought a Dell printer which also surprisingly had wireless set-up failures. If you're reading this and shopping, try the newest Dell V313 which I purchased for my GF: worked better than its predecessor and around the same price.
"Awesome and Easy!", This is a great printer and so easy to set up. Someone was complaining about the password needing to be in all caps... don't know what he was talking about. My network password is all lowercase and has numbers and symbols in it. This printer accommodates the lowercase letters plus all the symbols. It was recognized wirelessly instantaneously by my Windows 7 PC, and I was up and printing wirelessly within 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. Also works great with iphone too. Instant pics from anywhere in the house. Love it so far!
"Irritating Printer", I had an old HP all in one printer. It made a lot of noise, and did not print straight. But it worked fairly easily. I bought this printer when that one fell off the desk and broke while moving furniture. It is the most irritating printer I have ever tried to use. The magic wheel on the control panel looks great....but just try reducing the size or changing the size of the paper you are printing on and see what you get. I literally hate this thing. Oh yes, it operates quietly, but uses massive amounts of ink and will only print on the paper it decides to print on. So much more complicated than my old printer. It is called an all in one printer, but does not include Fax. How all in one is that???
"Canon Printer", Love it! Finally can be anywhere in the house/yard with my notebook. If there is a need to print something, I just send the request, and pick up the document in my office...no longer tied to my desk - wonderful!

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Pixma MP 560", I did not set my Pixma MP 560 up as wireless but it was a great deal on an excellent home multifunction printer.
"joey", Not impressed. Liked the dual paper feed, but didn't like the printer adjusting my pictures automatically. Adjusting brightness and contrast through the printer for each picture was just too much trouble. With no preview! I prefer to adjust my pics prior to them getting to the printer. Traded it in for an Epson Artisan 710 and enjoy printing again!
"Great printer and more...", So far so good! Scanner works great; print quality is more than satisfactory. The Easy Web Print is a great bonus feature that I wasn't expecting. Simply highlight what you what printed on any web page in an expandable or shrinkable window and the printer will only print what's within your "window." I have NOT printed any photos yet so I can't comment on that.
"The Best", My printer arrived earlier than expected, nice surprise. Setup was easy. I love all the features. It scans, prints, and copies. It prints a little slow but that's ok. Good Buy!
"Great little printer", For the price, this is a great little printer. So far no problems or complaints.
